Summary:
Lewis can be described as a very nice, friendly person... except when someone gets on his nerves. He's kind, but he's got a bit of a temper. He's a dedicated and loving father, but if anyone tries to hurt his family, there will be heck to pay.

In life, Lewis was a member of the Mystery Skulls Paranormal Investigation team. On one fateful journey, the team entered an ominous-looking cave. Upon splitting up, Vivi went one way, while Lewis, Arthur, and Mystery went another. However, Lewis only found an empty pit filled with stalagmites, the bottom of which Vivi was led to by her path. As he tried to leave, Arthur became possessed by an evil spirit and pushed him of the ledge, leading to his death.

Months later, Lewis came back as a ghost, with the goals of getting revenge on Arthur and reuniting with Vivi. But eventually Lewis learned that Arthur was possessed and didn't mean to kill him. After that, he rejoined the team and continued his relationship with Vivi... for about two years. The team disbanded went their separate when Vivi became pregnant with Lewis's child. Lewis and Vivi decided to open a bookstore to support their new family, and Mystery Skulls' Tomes and Transcripts was born.

Months later, Lewis and Vivi's daughter, Violet, was born; and much to their surprise, she had manifested ghost powers. But due to the currently unstable nature of her abilities, people had a tendency to find out about their secret. So in order to guarantee their daughter a normal life, they've had to move from town-to-town whenever anyone learned the truth about them. Eventually they were brought to Beach City, where they met the Universe family. The Universes did learn the truth about them, but they agreed to help keep it a secret.
